This year marks the launch of the Bicentennial commemoration of The War of 1812. Come discover and authentic British fortification which served to defend Canada’s first lock canal! An abundance of family activities await you, including the all-new “Xplorateur” program for children aged 6 to 11. Every Saturday morning in the summer, you can purchase and enjoy regional products at the country-style market.

Interpretation Centres, Historic Sites and Museums

Activities : Huge archaeological garden and exhibition in the blockhouse. Guided tours and theme activities.

Schedule : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 23 to September 2, Wednesday to Sunday; September 3 to 30, Saturdays and Sundays

Description : Remnants of the first canal lock in Canada and authentic British fortification from the early 19th century. Vast archaeological garden and exhibition inside the bunker. Guided tours and thematic activities.
