Lieu historique national du Canal-de-Chambly
Open for commercial navigation in 1843, the canal now welcomes pleasure boats. Eight of the nine canal locks have conserved their manual function. The 1-2-3 staircase locks are unique in Québec. The old towpath that borders the canal has been transformed into a 20 kilometre bicycle path that links Chambly to Saint-Jean-sur- Richelieu.
