Blockhaus de la rivière Lacolle
The proposed experience
CLOSED FOR 2024 SEASON. The Lacolle River Blockhouse, built in 1781, is the last authentic representative of this type of building in Québec. It has witnessed war making, which is explained in their new permanent exhibition. A touch screen allows visitors to deepen their knowledge through informational screens, and a video recounting the Battle of Lacolle Mill is projected as well. Guides are in period costumes on the weekends.
