The proposed experience

The Richelieu River that flows through the municipality is the largest navigable waterway in Quebec, and has become a source of pleasure for fans of water activities who can cross the entire length of Lake Champlain to Sorel. The many historical homes and sites are a study of our history and are a treasure for the municipality, including the Odelltown Methodist Church, built in 1823, that witnessed the battle of 1838 between patriots and loyalists militias at Lacolle station. The municipality is crossed by a bicycle path called the Piste du Lièvre (Rabbit Run) that has linked route 223 and the Vallée des Forts route since 2010. It also connects Saint-Jean-sur- Richelieu to bicycle trails in New York and Vermont.
