Over the past few years, Tourisme Montérégie’s team has organized several festive events to bring together members and partners, and mark various occasions. These moments have allowed us to discover venues well suited for celebrations and to see just how diverse the regional offering is.
Here are a few recent events organized by our team, and what led us to choose these venues.
Gala Reconnaissance at Dock 619
Tourisme Montérégie’s Gala Reconnaissance is an event that highlights businesses, organizations, and initiatives that stand out within the regional tourism industry. This evening aims to recognize the commitment, innovation and achievements of industry stakeholders, while bringing together tourism partners in a lively and festive atmosphere.
For the 2026 edition, the event was held last February at Dock 619 in Longueuil, situated on Montréal’s South Shore, a venue that can accommodate up to 400 people and quickly became a favorite for both our team and attendees.
We worked with an external provider for technical equipment. Fortunately, the size of the room and its flexible configurations allowed for a large presentation screen, a stage for speeches and entertainment, and approximately 200 seated guests, not to mention a dance floor to close out the evening. It was therefore an ideal setting for a gala of this scale.
In addition, Tourisme Montérégie aims to showcase regional products as often as possible during its events. Dock 619’s chef, Hugo Saint-Jacques, rose to the challenge by creating a menu in collaboration with several local producers. This approach helped deliver a distinctive culinary experience while highlighting local products.
Holiday Cocktail at Exporail – the Canadian Railway Museum
Tourisme Montérégie’s Holiday Cocktail is an annual gathering that brings together members of the tourism industry to wrap up the year in a warm and festive atmosphere before the holidays. It’s an opportunity to highlight collective achievements, showcase collaboration among partners, connect with industry stakeholders, and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.
For the end of 2025, the event took place last December at Exporail – the Canadian Railway Museum in Saint-Constant, a distinctive venue known for its impressive collection of over 170 railway vehicles. To host 100 participants, the locomotive exhibition hall was reserved, with cocktail tables set up for drinks and appetizers. The museum team also offered guided tours of the locomotives, helping create a memorable experience for attendees.
Additionally, the museum allowed us to work with our own caterer and supply our own alcohol. Their flexibility enabled us to highlight several partners during the event, including offering tasting stations where guests could discover their products.
First RDV Montérégie Affaires at Oasis Surf
RDV Montérégie Affaires aims to bring together the region’s business community to foster connections, build professional networks, and create new collaboration opportunities. Organized in partnership with the nine chambers of commerce in the region, this event highlights the strength of the local business ecosystem and encourages exchanges between its key players.
For this first edition which welcomed over 300 participants, the event was held last fall at Oasis Surf in Quartier DIX30, driven by a desire to do things differently. The venue’s décor— surfboards, palm trees, a Westfalia van, and a tiki bar — created a refreshing change of scenery that energized interactions and enhanced the overall experience.
Oasis Surf’s team also stood out for their openness and adaptability. They created a cocktail inspired by Montérégie Affaires and tailored a menu highlighting regional flavors, including local wines and beers.
