Maison Paul-Émile Borduas
The proposed experience
Paul-Émile Borduas designed, built and lived in this house during the decades 1940-1950. This unique, avant-garde home boasts a resolutely modern design with undeniable architectural interest. Inside, pieces of furniture that belonged to the painter are displayed. They were made by some of his students, while he was teaching at the Montréal’s École du meuble. Discover this amazing exhibition centre dedicated to the man, his works and the Manifeste Refus global. An exhibition room that presents contemporary artists and the Café Paul-Émile, with a view on the rivière Richelieu complete the tour.
