Statera – The 104th Island, an adventure developed and produced by the creative experts at cadabra, is set to take summer 2018 by storm!

30 May 2018

Montreal-based creative studio cadabra is proud to have collaborated with the tourism attraction of summer 2018, Statera – The 104th Island, a new kind of interactive experience to be presented at the Sorel-Tracy Ferry Wharf as of June 22, 2018. The cadabra team developed and produced the two-part multimedia adventure that features an interactive after-dark journey and a 360° projection on a translucent dome, which creates a luminous visual signature on the St. Lawrence River come nightfall.

Inspired by local history from a social and environmental perspective and developed over a two-year period with the help of multiple local contributors, Statera – the Latin word for “balance” – celebrates the precious harmony between the natural and industrial worlds of the Sorel-Tracy area. By bringing the 104th Sorel Island to life in an immersive and interactive way, cadabra invites the public to discover a magical universe that amazes, enlightens and resonates on a deeply emotional level.

“We immersed ourselves in the multilayered history of the area to come up with an experience that rings true to the surrounding population but still evokes themes that are universally relatable,” explains Jacques Larue, the creative mind behind the experience and a partner at cadabra. “Statera is uniquely powerful and remarkable in its scope. It promises to blow away local audiences and visiting tourists alike.”

cadabra was chosen to breathe life into this exceptional project by the Regroupement indépendant pour la relance économique de la région de Sorel-Tracy (RIRÉRST), the non-profit organization responsible for funding and promoting Statera – The 104th Island. The attraction will welcome its first guests at the Sorel-Tracy Ferry Wharf on June 22, 2018. For more information on this much-anticipated tourism destination, go to
