The library is a bright and spacious, 20,000-ft modern building with comfy reading nooks, computer spaces, workrooms, kids’ activity area, a permanent exhibit featuring the roosters of tinsmith Claude Huot, and lots more.

It also has a state-of-the art theatre. An outdoor parking lot, bar service and coat check room are available to enhance your experience in charming Vieux-Chambly.

Located on the rivière Richelieu, just 20 minutes from
Montréal, Centre nautique Gervais-Désourdy will give you an unforgettable day on the bassin de Chambly. And you can enjoy it all by pedal boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board, or aboard the
Le Chambly I riverboat. You can also explore Chambly’s history
on a rabaska canoe ride. The sunsets from the bassin de Chambly are magical.

Centre nautique Gervais-Désourdy also offers educational workshops and beginner and intermediate kayaking courses. Qualified staff are always on hand to
explain how to safely practise this water sport.

The Bistro Bonté Divine is located in a warm and charming two-story heritage house. In summer, you can also grab a spot on the patio with a view of the bassin de Chambly.

Our healthy and delicious products are made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We use fair trade coffee from Barista micro-roasting house for our coffees and espressos. And if you don’t want dairy products, creamy oat milk alternatives are also available.

Eau Villa offers one-of-a-kind accommodations, with 4 floating homes right on the Chambly Marina. You’ll love these minimalist, modern units with their cozy cottage feel and 360 view of the rivière Richelieu.

Each one is fully equipped and has a deck with spa and a private roof space with a panoramic view.
Each unit features a bedroom with double bed and living room, kitchen area, and bathroom with shower and toilet.

The rental includes two paddle boards and free parking. Available from July 1 to early October.

Café-Théâtre de Chambly has been running for over 25 years. It’s the only one in Canada that puts on shows year-round, with 6 productions from January through
December.

The cozy café/theatre can accommodate up to 80 spectators. It offers an intimate size, a focus on local artists, and seats close to the stage and the actors, all of which combine to give you an experience you won’t find in regular theatres. Café-Théâtre de Chambly is accessible to all and puts on shows in a wide range of genres, including comedy, drama, mystery, modern and classical theatre, and plays by Québécois and foreign playwrights.

The Chambly Canal National Historic Site is a must see in the
vallée du Richelieu. Besides sailing along the canal, you can also go for a bike ride, picnic with your family or watch the lock keepers manually operate the nine locks. It’s well worth a visit!

Natural setting, rich cultural heritage … the Chambly Canal provides a lovely urban escape and a chance to explore the region’s history! The canal opened in
1843 and played a major role in Canada-U.S. trade until the early 20th century. All the attractions along the 20 km of the canal trail also offer an unforgettable experience that engages all of your senses.

Your visit to the vallée du Richelieu isn’t complete without stopping by Fort Chambly, a one-of-a-kind national historic site. You’ll be transported back in time to learn about how French soldiers lived in the New France era.

Explore the Contraband exhibition and experience what it was like to be a smuggler in New France. Can you
escape the fort without being taken prisoner? With this exhibition, the little-known history of
smuggling in the Montréal-Albany corridor is turned into a game for
the whole family.

You’ll quickly understand why locals love this urban park around the fort, located on rivière Richelieu.
Take a stroll and relax, but be sure to pack your picnic (zero waste if possible)!

Bières et Saveurs de Chambly is the biggest craft beer festival in Québec. It’s a showcase for local microbreweries, wineries, cider mills and producers. Every year, it attracts tens of thousands of
people for the fun, relaxed family-friendly atmosphere. You don’t want to miss it!

The festival is held along rivière Richelieu at the Fort Chambly National Historic Site and showcases the products of more than
110 vendors, who invite you to sample many
products from around the province. It features musical performances, comedy shows, talks for beer lovers and zythologists
as well as lots of activities for children.

Bedondaine & Bedons Ronds is a craft brewery where you can sample exclusive beers that are lovingly brewed on site!

They have a booklet with more than 140 recipes and beers
available on 19 different keg lines. You’ll also find a wide variety of
styles, flavours and maturation times. If scotch is more your thing, try one of the 200 single malt scotches available on site.

While you’re there, admire the museum’s impressive collection! Besides sharing their love of beer and their vast knowledge,
Bedondaine & Bedons Ronds also shares Québec’s brewing heritage by displaying more than
27,000 old and current beer-related objects.

Le Garde-Manger de François artisanal bakery is a must in the region. They sell a wide selection of breads, pastries and cakes that use Québec-milled flours.
François Pellerin, chef and owner of the Garde-Manger, is passionate about cooking and uses local and organic products in his gourmet take-out meals and homemade charcuterie, from smoked duck breast to tofu chili, not to mention terrines and sausages.

You can enjoy a café au lait with a delicious almond croissant on the sunny patio. And if you want to stay for lunch, you have a wide variety of sandwiches and seasonal salads to choose from.

FG Chocolatiers is an artisanal chocolate shop located in Vieux-Chambly. Frédéric and Geneviève pour their heart into crafting exceptional chocolate on site using artisanal methods. The mouth-watering creations are made with the finest raw materials. They apply the same philosophy to all products in the shop. In summer, you’ll find a selection of gelato and sorbets prepared on site.

Located on the beautiful bassin de Chambly, Location Motomarine Sport Chambly has a complete line of nautical equipment available for rent. La Croisée des chemins is a cultural pub known for its homemade duck dishes. The restaurant puts a creative spin on its epic burgers, signature poutines, tasty tartars and bistro snacks, which are all made on site.

What also makes the brewpub special is the series of intimate concerts and other themed events featuring the area’s artists, making it a cornerstone of the local cultural scene. La Croisée des chemins is also proud to be associated with various cultural initiatives in Chambly.

La Croisée is also a craft brewery and it brews and develops its own beers and sells a wide selection of wines, ciders, honey wines, spirits and original cocktails!

Délires et délices is a microbrewery located in a lovely spot in downtown Chambly. Come explore the word of craft brewing and sample beers made on site. This microbrewery is also the perfect place to taste a flight of beers, sangria beer and with Québec wines and spirits. Some food is also available for pairing.

A large reception lounge on the second floor can be rented for events. Besides private events, Délires et Délices also hosts its own musical and comedy shows and other activities.

Ferme Guyon is THE place to shop for everything local in the vallée du Richelieu. With a farmers’ market, garden centre, educational farm and butterfly house, there’s something for the whole family at any time of year.
