The owners of Alpagas du Domaine Poissant welcome you to a lush, magical place, filled with greenery and tall, mature trees. You’ll get the chance to hike with an alpaca in the wooded area of Mont Saint-Hilaire. You’ll also be able to feed your alpaca, who will be very happy. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that’s open year round, with themed options for each season. You can even go for a stroll at dusk.
Besides going on a walk, you can also go on a guided tour of the farm to learn all about the alpacas.

Located on the rivière Richelieu, Saint-Hilaire church opens its doors in the summer. Come explore this religious architectural gem, built between 1831 and 1837. You’ll find the oldest Casavant organ still operating today, as well as paintings created by Ozias Leduc between 1894 and 1900
The church was classified a historical monument in 1965.
In the summer, you can visit the church on your own. Guided tours take place from Tuesday to Friday and on Sunday afternoons. Reservations not required. Group visits are available year-round upon request. Suggested $5 voluntary donation.

McGill University has owned the Gault Nature Reserve since 1958. Located in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, it protects over 1,000 hectares of natural forest.
25 km of trails provide access to various observation points. The trails are open at different times, depending on the season. In winter, you can snowshoe or cross-country ski on the trails. The beauty of nature is on full display on a hike up Mont Saint-Hilaire.
In 1978, the Gault Estate was designated the first Canadian Biosphere Reserve as part of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme.

Established in 2007 at the foot of Mont Saint-Hilaire, Cryo is one of the most well-known artisanal cider makers in Québec. It has received many awards and nominations for its top-quality still, sparkling, ice and hopped ciders. Cryo is owned by cellar master Hugo Poliquin.
It’s a feast for the eyes and the palate! There’s nothing better than sitting on the patio facing Mont Saint-Hilaire, with your picnic in front of you and a cider in hand. Stop by “Mes petits caprices” farm just 200 metres from the cider house where you can buy some cheese to go with your cider.
The Cryo patio is open every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It runs from June 16 to September 1, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., near the Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire and the Armand-Cardinal library. Come chat with our knowledgeable local producers!

Facing Mont Saint-Hilaire, Domaine Vinēterra is a vineyard that opened very recently, in the summer of 2020. It has 23,500 grapevines, most of which are used to make 8 different wines available in the shop. The Martin family is happy to to welcome you to the estate, whether you want to sample their wines, enjoy some pizza or Québec cheese, go on a tour, have a picnic or pick your own grapes or sunflowers, or you just want to browse the agricultural products at the shop, And stay tuned if you want to take part in the end-of-season harvest (reservations required)!

The Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire is dedicated to preserving the memory and sharing the legacy of artists Ozias Leduc, Paul-Émile Borduas and Jordi Bonet, three leading figures in the vallée du Richelieu. In the summer, you can enjoy two artist homes that spotlight the work of Paul-Émile Borduas and Ozias Leduc.
The museum’s mission is to make contemporary art more accessible through educational and cultural activities, providing a prestigious showcase for the region’s creators. The open-air sculpture museum, whose works are featured along rivière Richelieu from Sorel-Tracy to Lake Champlain, is available for all to enjoy.

You don’t want to miss Vieille Cave.
Located at the foot of Mont Saint-Hilaire, this charming heritage home is more than 200 years old. Come pick your own pears, plums and apples in the orchard, while enjoying a view of the of the mountains in the distance. It’s a family orchard with a playground.
You’ll love the rustic gourmet store, which features over 80 local products made on site: meals, pies, marinades, jams and jellies of all kinds. They also sell cheeses, juices, ciders and maple products.

Au Pavillon de la Pomme is a quiet orchard that produces 32 varieties of apples, pears and plums. Blueberries, black currants and gooseberries are also available to pick in season (mid-July to mid-August). Be sure to swing by the shop for a wide selection of artisanal pastries, jams and other local products made on site.
You can also visit the farm animals and relax in our picnic areas. You can take a tractor ride on weekends during apple season. Pavillon de la Pomme has a large parking lot and is also accessible by public transit.
