The proposed experience

The City of Châteauguay boasts several natural gems as well as a rich heritage. Discover the majestic Chateauguay River, the magnificent Saint Bernard Island, its wildlife refuge and the Centre écologique Fernand-Séguin. Stop by Manoir d’Youville to unwind and continue your visit the following day with a tour of the Saint-Joachim Church, a National Historic Site of Canada. Make sure you also visit la Maison Le-Pailleur, which was built in 1792 and acquired by the City in 1997; it now houses exhibitions and several activities highlighting the region’s historical and cultural riches. Located on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis, only 20 minutes from Downtown Montréal via Mercier Bridge, the City of Châteauguay offers an urban setting surrounded by bodies of water and green open spaces. Roads 132, 138 and Highway 30 provide easy access to this territory of exceptional potential.
