5 ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day among friends

While you’re always welcome to enjoy the activities from our article about romantic Valentine’s Day outings with your friends, here are five more suggestions that are just perfect for a Valentine’s Day with your best friend or the whole crew. You don’t have to be in a relationship to celebrate love!😊

1 – Offbeat winter sports

To clear your head and get moving, try fatbiking or snow scootering. You’re guaranteed to get out all your energy while getting a few laughs in too!

Where can you fatbike*? Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville, Mont Rigaud, Sentiers de L’Escapade (fatbikes are only available for rent during the fatbike introduction course on February 16)

Where can you snow scoot*? Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville, Parc Les Salines, St-Bernard Regional Park

*Rental available

If you head over to the Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, stop at the Vieux-Moulin tea house for a hot cuppa. There’s a nice variety of teas, specialty coffees and pastries.

2 – A just perfect staycation

If you want to take a load off but stay local, have a staycation at Quartier DIX30. With over 300 stores, restaurants, bars, a movie theatre, SKYSPA, Laser Game Evolution and more, this destination has plenty of options if you’re looking to have a good time. For an ultra-cozy hotel stay, book a room at the Alt or Alt+. Note that guest can also spend an evening at Brasserie T! and Bar Les Cousins, located on the premises.

3 – Festival de la Saint-Valentin

The week of February 7 to 14 is chock full of festive activities in the town of Saint-Valentin. With live music and entertainment (including a drag show on February 8) and a Valentine’s mass, the capital of love pulls out all the stops for the occasion. Enjoy a special Love and Friendship dinner and a Guylaine Tanguay concert at the Érablière St-Valentin on February 14.

4 – COOLBOX : a ski-in/ski-out at Mont Rigaud

Its Pinterest-worthy design (totally Instagrammable!) will win you over. With room for up to five people, each unit has a kitchenette, bathroom, bunk bed and sofa bed.
