From Montréal
The Jacques-Cartier, Concorde and Samuel de Champlain bridges

Take one of these bridges straight to La Riveraine bike path, which runs alongside Route 132 (Psst… you can take this path all the way to Sorel!). You’ll enjoy an incredible view of the St. Lawrence River, with Montérégie on one side and Montréal on the other. You can even cycle to the RécréoParc or Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville.
The Champlain Bridge Estacade: cross the water to the RécréoParc alongside the Champlain Bridge

This bike path crosses the St. Lawrence, giving you exceptional views of the St. Lawrence on a direct route to the RécréoParc in Sainte-Catherine. Along the way, you’ll find a beach and ready-to-camp accommodation among various other attractions.

From Lanaudière
Sorel-Tracy – Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola ferry crossing

After a ride along the river, head to Parc de la Maison-des-Gouverneurs where you’ll find the Sorel-Tracy tourist information centre. It also marks the starting point of La Sauvagine, a 12-km, fully paved linear bike path that runs through part of the city of Sorel-Tracy and then through fields, woodlands and farmland to Saint-Robert, where you’ll find the Picoudi rest stop. Located in a protected environment, the trail is safe, pleasant, rural and easy to ride as it is mainly flat.

Oka-Hudson ferry crossing

The Oka-Hudson ferry crossing takes you to the picturesque and typically English village of Hudson. Looking for a challenge? Look no further than the Mountain circuit! Do a loop around Mont Rigaud to enjoy stunning landscapes as far as the eye can see! Stop in Rigaud to admire the famous Our Lady of Lourdes Sanctuary, offering a picnic area and a beautiful nature trail.

Soulanges Bike Path

If you follow the Circuit des quatre canaux (63 km) in Montérégie West, you’ll discover part of Canada’s history while cycling alongside four of its historic canals. You’ll find various attractions and restaurants right in the heart of the countryside. There are a number of picnic tables along the path, with portable toilets and water fountains available in certain areas to make your outing even more enjoyable.
Along the US border
La Route Verte – Axe cyclable Vallée-des-Forts

This 49.3-km route consists of road shoulders and designated roadways. It includes a 6.5-km stretch of bike path in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Le sentier du Paysan

This paved bike path near the US border offers a bike ride rich in hidden treasures. You can visit various local artisans on the Circuit du Paysan to enjoy a wide range of excellent products.
Le Circuit sur la rive et la vallée du lac Champlain (74 km– sur route)

This incredible circuit starts on the majestic shores of Lake Champlain. Venise-en-Québec is a town that’s always worth a visit for its various attractions and its accommodations and unique spa.
Le Circuit d’Hemmingford (106 km) Covey Hill

This road circuit has significant elevation changes but offers one of the best views of Montérégie. The circuit includes Chemin de Covey Hill, a fun challenge for cyclists. The many orchards, cideries and wineries along the way offer a variety of delights for your taste buds.
