For the Food-Loving Family

Discoveries for kids and adults alike
On a beautiful summer day, Quinn Farm becomes a popular family destination. Depending on the season, visitors can pick berries, apples or pumpkins. Kids will enjoy visiting the barn and taking tractor rides, while adults can browse the gourmet shop.

About 15 minutes away, the Pointe-du-Moulin Historical Park offers a true journey back in time. A guided tour of the windmill built in 1705 — one of only two still operating in Québec — is a must. The site provides a glimpse into life in New France.

An Instagram-worthy gourmet stop
La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac farm offers a colourful outing. In addition to strawberry picking, the flower fields create the perfect backdrop for family photos. Starting in July, FestiFleurs transforms the gardens into a vibrant display of colour. Toward the end of summer, the sunflowers take over. Bring a picnic or enjoy treats from the snack bar located right in the middle of the fields.

Between bees and sea buckthorn berries
Have you ever tried sea buckthorn berries?

Starting in August, discover this locally grown fruit at Ferme Les Petites Écores while learning about organic farming and beekeeping. The owners share their passion for bees, honey products and sea buckthorn cultivation. To round out the experience, La Cabane à miel offers a farm-to-table dining experience inspired by traditional sugar shacks with a summer twist. Served in the fields, this gourmet meal promises a memorable moment for the whole family.

An unusual encounter
Book a visit to meet the friendly alpacas at Les Alpagas de la Petite Côte farm. Kids will love stepping into the enclosure to feed the animals directly. Take the opportunity to browse products made from alpaca fibre.

Continue the outing with a stop in the cozy Hudson village. For a vacation-like atmosphere, stroll along Main Road, lined with gourmet boutiques, cafés, restaurants, bakeries and ice cream shops.

For the Active Family

Pedalling and paddling
The Soulanges bike path runs alongside the canal of the same name for 23 km, offering a pleasant and safe route for cyclists of all skill levels. The trail features rest areas, historic remains and points of interest along the way.

For a change of pace, rent a kayak or paddleboard at Parc du canal de Soulanges. Closed to motorized navigation, the canal offers calm waters that are well suited to a family outing.

Don’t miss Village des Écluses
Accessible by bike from the Soulanges bike path, Village des Écluses is a popular stop in the area. Settle onto the large terrace for a bite to eat or a drink overlooking the lake. Non-motorized watercraft rentals are also available on site. To extend the visit, take advantage of the campground accommodations. It’s a great way to enjoy the atmosphere of the musical evenings in a setting that blends nature and vacation vibes.

Vacation mode on!
For families, Saint-Zotique Beach is the ultimate sunny stop. Fine sand, swimming in the warm waters of Lake Saint-François, the Eau Défi inflatable water course, splash pads and a wading pool for younger children, volleyball, soccer — everything is there for a fun-filled day. Make the most of the beachside atmosphere by extending the day on the terrace or enjoying a barbecue.

Thrills and laughter
With its aerial courses and zip lines, Arbraska Rigaud opens the door to a large outdoor adventure park. Young explorers will especially enjoy Village Arbre-en-Ciel, a treehouses world connected by walkways, slides and games.

To wrap up the excursion in Montérégie, stop by Microbrasserie Loup-Garou. The whole family is welcome — relax while the kids burn off some energy in a picturesque setting.
