It can be reached by car, public transit, train, bicycle, plane, and even by ferry in certain areas. Tourisme Montérégie highlights buses, trains, the metro, the REM, and the airport as key components for accessing and getting around the region.

By car

This is the most direct and flexible route. The main highway corridors leading to the Montérégie region include the following:

  • Highway 10, which leads to Brossard, Chambly, Granby, and the Eastern Townships;

  • Highway 20, which crosses much of the region from west to east;
  • Highway 30, which serves as a strategic bypass and interregional link;
  • Highway 35, which connects the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu area to the U.S. corridor;
  • Highway 25, as well as the major bridges and tunnels connecting Montreal to the South Shore.

The Montérégie region borders the United States to the south and has a major access point at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, via Highway 15
