Fall is upon us, a time filled with opportunities to enjoy surprising activities! The Montérégie is full your destination if you wish to explore while enjoying the colours of the season. It also offers a multitude of activities to do with family and friends.
Be in Awe of the Colours of the Fall

The temperatures may be cooling down, but a palette of warm tones of red, orange and yellow will make up for it for a few weeks. Whether on foot or by bicycle, there are many ways to take in the ephemeral displays of Mother Nature.
Numerous Hiking Trails

Are you up for going on an autumnal hike? The many parks that dot the Montérégie are an embarrassment of riches. There is the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park, the Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park, the trails of Mont Saint-Grégoire, the St-Bernard Regional Park and the Grèves Regional Park.
Cycling Amongst the Glowing Colours of the Trees

Cyclists are not left out, as they have access to the Route des champs, which links Chambly and Granby through various vineyards. The trail offers a breathtaking view of Mounts Rougemont and Yamaska. You can also take the La Campagnarde trail or the Chambly Canal path and ride through the shimmering trees. Cyclists who prefer the thrill of the open road can enjoy the Hemmingford circuit, the Trois Monts area and the Circuit de la Montagne in Rigaud.
The Festival of Colours in Rigaud

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend, this festival delivers for everyone who loves live music, local products and nature. It can’t be missed!

Fun family activities
Venture Into Giant Corn Mazes

Can you find your way out of the giant corn maze at the orchard of Verger Labonté in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot or of the one at Ferme Galaxie in Sainte-Julie? Try your luck on a path through the corn stalks, then maybe retrace your steps and find the right way out! It’s a delight for both children and parents. Special events and decorations are planned for the Halloween weekend! Reservations are recommended.
Walking With the Alpacas

Treat yourself to a moment of Zen by walking with one of the friendly alpacas that reside at Domaine Poissant. Choose one the 180 alpacas on the property and go for an hour-long walk along a peaceful path in the woods. It’s a great way to recharge your batteries, and it will bring joy to any child, even the one in you!
Celebrate Halloween in style

Will you dare to enter the haunted house of the “Domaine Maudit” (The Estate of the Damned!) during the Festiv’Halloween at the Ferme de la Belle de Coteau-du-Lac? Or maybe you would rather take a close look at the ghost train cars and other creatures at Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum. You could also spend a day dressed up for Halloween at Chouette à voir!, where the whole family can enjoy a birds of prey presentation, get their face painted and eat some candy!
A Trip to Parc Safari

Until October, you can spend a weekend at Parc Safari. Walk through glass tunnels to peek at big cats, get up close and personal with camels, watusis, bison and wapiti on the Safari Adventure Trail. Watch hyenas and wolves from an elevated walkway! Then, spend the night in some non-traditional lodging just steps away from the animals!
There is no shortage of activities and inspiring places in the Montérégie, you’ll want to return again and again throughout the fall. Which ones will you choose?
