The proposed experience
Located in the extreme southwest of Quebec, in the administrative region of Montérégie, the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent was established on December 9, 1981 (date of the decree). It is bordered, to the south, by the state of New York; to the north, by the MRC of Beauharnois-Salaberry; to the west, by the St. Lawrence River, the MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Ontario; and to the east by the MRC des Jardins-de-Napierville. Its territory, with a land area of 1,168 km2, is part of the St. Lawrence Lowlands. Covey Hill, which begins the foothills of the Adirondacks, is a mountain whose summit is located at an altitude of 342 meters.
